About Us
Mathe's Human Care Centre is a non profit organization established in order to contribute towards the social welfare and development of the people of South Africa. The organization was established by Dr Sipho V. Mathe and his wife Mrs Grace B. Mathe in 2006. Dr & Mrs Mathe have extensive experience in 'human care', that is, in healthcare and substance abuse prevention and rehabilitation. Mathe's Human Care Centre aims to provide services for the holistic health of South Africans through various programmes in Substance abuse, Gender-Based Violence (GBV) prevention and counselling, Agriculture, Education, Widow empowerment, Skills development and more.
Substance abuse
Dr Mathe's extensive experience in dealing with substance abuse ensures that we are able to assist individuals to get out of the habit.
Gender-Based Violence (GBV)
South Africa has very high statistics of GBV. Our programme aims to help bring those numbers down through a comprehensive approach that takes care of victims and helps prevent future recurrences.
Skills development
Many social ills are a direct or indirect consequence of inadequate household income resulting from unemployment. Our skills development programmes empower communities, especially women and youth to be able to gain skills that will take them out of the cycle of poverty.
